*** UPDATE: After yesterday's match, the club officers decided to now allow AIWB for safety purposes *** Recently, there has been back and forth talks on the idea to allow AIWB carry at our local USPSA match. With the club recently getting their affiliation, they didn't quite know the rule. So like everyone else, they looked it up and deemed it within the rule book of USPSA as long as the shooter is either shooting Open, Limited or L10. The match director will have final say in case he sees the shooter being unsafe while drawing from AIWB. Here's a video of Gabriel White, Grandmaster, shooting AIWB:

And in the end, the owners of the range said No. It was still a good time nonetheless.

They can not outlaw AIWB if the shooter is safe and using a safe holster. If they do, Their USPSA affiliation can be removed. Range owners agree to USPSA rules to be affiliated. If they don't abide by the rulebook they cant advertise as USPSA matches.
